Alittle behind in getting this update out … ooops … but here it is !!!
This issue of our newsletter is focusing on … Albany Summer Bash Results and Council Con (this weekend!) …
(1.) Lion Rampant Summer Bash in Albany NY, Sat, Aug. 15th …
This event was held at The Fortress of Gaming, 18 Railroad Ave in Albany … and we appreciate their co-operation in letting these quarterly tourneys being held at their store, thank you!
The tournament saw the following results:
1st Place … Mike T. with a Wars of the Roses army having 3 wins and 44 points
2nd Place a tie … Peter L. with a Flemish army and Doug with a Late English army both 3 wins and 42 points.
Those three finishing as they did, as well as 3rd & 4th below, shows how close the results were at the top.
3rd Place … Thomas with a Flemish army while having 2 wins with 42 points.
4th Place … Peter H. (Italian Condottieri) 2 wins & 40 points,
Rounding out the other players was as follows …
Ken (French) 1 win & 34 points, Thomas T. (Flemish) 1 win & 34 points, Mike K (Norman) 0 wins & 20 points, Mark T. (German) 0 wins & 12 points, and Ian T. (Viking Raiders) with 0 wins & 8 points.
(2.) Council Con, Schenectady NY, Fri, Sat, Sun, Sep 11 to 13 … at Proctor’s Theater, 432 State St.
A. Lion Rampant: The Oasis, Saturday, 7pm … Somewhere in the East two Armies are about to fight over the only water for miles. Without water their can be no life. But why share it if you can have it all. You just need to kill a few non believers. This game still has room for 5 more of 6 players!
B. A Friendly Lion Rampant Tourney, Sunday, 9am … Swiss System, Rds at 9:30am, noon, 2:30pm, 2 hours each, prizes top 3, maybe more. 4 tables, scenery provided, Scenario 1 & 24 point lists from rules. Bring your army with list, 6 loaner armies are “first come-first serve” or email <mailto:gamespoet@aol.com> gamespoet@aol.com. Beginners ok, under 12 with adult. STARTS 9AM SUN ! This event has room for 3 more of 8 player slots!
Please note: players can sign up for just Sunday with an entry fee of only $10, or else sign up for other convention days too, and join us on Sunday for the tourney.
Other events are planned for … Carnage in Oct, and Fall-In in Nov, details to be announced in the next issue.
