SnappyNap1807, Book Reviews
For those who celebrate the national candy binge…Happy Halloween!
The big game this month was a 13-table, 23-gamer, two-umpire, Snappy Nappy 1807 Friedland Campaign in a Day up in CT at a fantastic gamestore The Portal. What an annual extravaganza. The recaps by all the commanders have been trickling in because each one of us really has no idea of the whole campaign, just our part of it. Fog of war is real when looking at your flank…at the table edge…and not knowing much beyond it…
The other games are recapped below, plus the usual News, Book Reviews and HMGS doings. As to the latter, I GM’d my first HMGS Next Generation game for kids at the local library: 15mm Battle of Princeton 1777. I was told that kids’ attention span was only an hour to an hour and a half. After two hours, the kids wanted to keep playing. Welllll. OK. Even the parents were amazed. Me, too, but happily so.
Enjoy!
